Multivariate Analysis of Variance
Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) are applied to data to check whether there are statistically significant differences :
- between levels of a factor or factors when there are several responses (or output) variables
- between known groups based on several response variables
- between groups identified in a cluster analysis. Here, equality between centroids is tested.
This session aims to develop a knowledge and understanding of MANOVA. The key learning points are to:
- Decide whether MANOVA is appropriate for your data/project.
- Know the data requirements for the techniques
- Complete both General MANOVA and Balanced MANOVA using a statistical package.
- Be able to interpret and discuss results.
Please note that this session builds on the delegates previous knowledge of Univariate Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). It may be useful for delegates to attend the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) course.
