Carolyn is Associated with University of Newcastle linking with the Industrial Statistics Research Unit to provide statistics and Six Sigma training.

Carolyn is a visiting academic at the University of Northumbria and provides technical support to an EU project on Monitoring Guidelines for Photovoltaic Installations.

Carolyn is a member of the Knowledge House. This is a consultancy house for North East England working with businesses and the 5 Universities in the region.

Carolyn is actively involved in the Royal Statistical Society as Vice-Chair of the Quality Improvement Section and a member of the Six Sigma Study Group. She is part of the organizational team for the 2010 Royal Statistical Society Conference.
