About Carolyn
As both a Chartered Statistician and Lean Six Sigma practitioner, Carolyn has a practical approach to consultancy and training. She is able to ensure that the right data is collected, is quickly converted into information and can be used to make good decisions.
Trained as a statistician at Newcastle University and after several years lecturing in Applied Statistics, she worked in pharmaceutical manufacture and supply at GlaxoSmithKline for almost 10 years. Initially, her role was linked to Quality, then moved to Lean Six Sigma. All the time, she was providing technical support, training people and successfully embedding new ways of working into the business.
As a Chartered Statistician with a First Class Hons in Statistics and a PhD in Applied Statistics both from Newcastle University, Carolyn has a sound basis for her career. Before joining GlaxoSmithKline, she was involved in research projects and taught at Northumbria University.
